Majors and Minors
Music Dance Theatre
Home Classes have been carefully designed by the three departments with an innovative, cooperative approach to stimulate the highest level of professionalism for the student who desires to pursue a career as a professional singer, actor and dancer.
The MDT program has a strong commitment to the performing arts. Each year musical theatre stage productions, major spectaculars, recordings, convention shows, and international touring companies provide opportunities for majors in the program to hone their craft and combine their classroom and workshop training with practical on stage experience in preparation for a professional career.
This is a limited enrollment program requiring departmental admissions approval.
Admission applications must be submitted by January 15. Live auditions are held on the last Saturday in January. For those not attending the live audition, tapes must be received by January 15. Students may begin the MDT major in the fall only.
